Installing Easy Fit Conservatory Blinds

Recently, I had to order 18 blinds for our conservatory to give us privacy. Note: a conservatory in the UK is a sun room attached to the side of the house.

You can find my more in depth easy fit conservatory blinds tutorial here.

Here's our new conservatory blinds that I fitted a few weeks ago.

Each blind is designed to slot into a UPVC windwo's internal beading, meaning they leave no trace behind and do not require any screwing or drilling.

They're not the cheapest, but they're convenient. Let me show you how to install them.

Note, if you UPVC window's beading is on the outside, then unfortunately, these blinds will not fit your window.

Number Your Windows & Blinds

First, when you're dealing with a HUGE order of blinds, I find it easier to number the original measurements and windows I made, so I don't get confused.

Lay the easy fit blinds facing down like this.

Top Tip: Make sure you lay it on a clean, flat surface. A cloth of some sort helps to prevent scratching the face of the blinds.

Push fit the easy fit blinds together. No screwing needed.

Attach the spring and hook together at the bottom. It may be a bit of a strain, but this is what helps the blinds stay open when pulled open later.

Hold the blind up to the window and mark where the slots are in the frame.

Push the easy fit clips in where your pencil marks are. These slot into the internal beading of the window.

Line up and push the blind onto the clips so they slot in and stay in place.

Then you can hook on the plastic wand that twists to angle Venetian blinds.

I also repeated for my doors, too!
