Livingroom Window
After a few years we finally got around to trimming the livingroom windows and building a 13 foot shelf that matches what we have done in the dining area.
what was...particle board, foam ...just an ugly mess.
starting with nice clean smooth pine boards,we made a nice ledge for smaller flower pots....
we trimmed with the same wood all sides of the windows
the top curved portion of the window..we used matching wood we have on the dining area windows...we will trim the arch with molding that will match when it is back in stock....
I wanted wood that had character for the top header...above that we will paint as soon as we find the color we like...
we repeated the same process on the bottom trim using wood with character....
the sides and the 2 center trims were also finished out with cedar wood....
next came the reclaimed bardwood shelf brackets that also match what we have in the dining area...
then the application of the shelves.also made of cedar.
the front fascia board, which will have the clavos installed as well
as I mentioned we have trim to do and putting the clavos on the shelf and painting of the wall....but for now it is a far cry better then what was....plus my plants will love it come winter....
the underside of the shelf will also have a plant light for plants that sit under the shelf
put the clavos on the shelf.....super easy...just predrill and push them in...
