Are you looking for toddler activity ideas? Check out this fun craft that uses plastic pony beads to make a suncatcher. Make one today.

There are lots of educational activities for toddlers you can do. But, this pony bead suncatcher is one of my favorites for helping your child identify colors.

You can use any color pony beads that you want. I chose red because the shape I'm making is an apple. If you want to make another shape, you can choose a different color pony beads instead.

An adult will need to help with the oven portion of this craft. In order to make this suncatcher, you will need to melt the plastic pony beads. Younger children should not use the stove.

Keeping kids busy on a snow day (or any day really) can definitely be a bit of a challenge. But, there are always fun crafts for kids to keep them entertained.

If you do not have a drill or aren't comfortable using it, you can use glue to attach a hook to the back of it. Then, use string or yarn to hang it on the window with a plastic suction cup.

You will need to cover the cookie sheet with aluminum foil & place the metal suncatcher on it.

Add the pony beads to the center and place it in the oven.

Allow the beads to melt until the whole shape is fuzed.

Very carefully pop it out of the cookie sheet once it has cooled.

Then, using a drill, make a hole.
