Hello...would you possible have any "cute" ideas on how to keep mini blind cords from getting tangled up or chewed on by pets...I roll mine up out of sight but then they are all tangled up when I try to let the blinds down..... Frustrating~Thank You~

You can buy a rope cleat at Walmart, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, Menards. Mount it on the side of the window halfway up, facing up and down. When you pull up the blinds you wrap the ropes around the cleat diagonally and they'll be out of the way and won't twist.

Cut the cords as short as you can, while the blind is down, so that it is still functional. Less mess to tangle.

You can also "braid" the cord. Make sure the shade is all the way down and tie off a knot at the point you want the cord to stop. With the remainder of the cord you make a loop next to the knot and pull the leftover portion of the cord next to the loop through making another loop. Pull another piece of leftover cord through that loop making another loop and so on. When making each "loop" you tighten the previous one so it makes a braid. It's like casting on if you knit.

By the cleat (!) it's the easiest thing and they're kind of cute. I have one for my bamboo shade and it works perfectly.

I have cats that used to love to chew our blind cords. I took the end off the cord (mine had little plastic things on the end), threaded nice chunky beads onto the length of the cord and then re-added the end to hold them in place. No tangling, no chewing and they look nice too.

I used 2 cheapy brass, screw in, coffee mug hooks that I already had, one facing up and one facing down. I used them as a cleat, and hung windchimes from the top hook on one blind, and a macramé plant holder from another blind coffee hook, which hides the cords. The hooks are this type: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Tools-Hardware-Hardware-Fasteners-Metal-Hooks-Eyes-Cup-Hooks/N-5yc1vZc2ea

You could use a child's barrett to secure the cords up high near the top of the blind. Or, open the barrett, wrap the cords around the back clip, click it closed.

The cup hooks sound great. If you have kids or pets make sure the hooks are high enough so they(kids) don't get tangled in the cords.

Mine are up really high, and I hid them to keep the kiddies away.

I live in a RV 5th wheel so I don't have room to hang cords up higher than my corness boxes.....my whole rv is in the "Beachy" theme since I live on the coastline of Oregon...I wanted to see if there was a idea that's cute yet functional....I've tried waxing the cord and using the cleat method..please keep any ideas coming...and Thank You everyone in advance....

Glue seashells on a clothespin or clip. If your windows have a metal frame use a clip with a magnet.

I have seen coat rack hangers that look like anchors or mermaids, you could put one on the wall next to the window and wrap it around that.
