How can I make curtain rods for a bay window?
My bay window has 3 windows. two small and one large. There is no bench under the window. I am having trouble finding a curtain rod because the windows are close together and not much space between the large window and the small ones

Hi, would something like this curtain rod work? It sounds like one single rod would work better for you since there isn't much room between the windows. Bay windows are great but they can be a bit of a pain trying to find a window treatment that works. Would you consider just having one rod across the whole bay window?
I would use swing out curtain rods for a bay window. They are so much easier.
They aren't all expensive, depending with the style. You can buy them on amazon and doubt you could make them much cheaper.

I was going to suggest what Mogie did. You can buy them and they're not that expensive and it saves you a lot of time and work.
I had the exact same issue. The narrow tension rods only hold light weight curtains and bigger ones don't fit and aren't long enough. Fast forward 3 years later and a light came on. I installed a very long curtain rod with a middle support over the top of the bay window opening. I added two panels for each side that had large grommets for ease of opening and closing. During the day they are completely open and hanging on wall space on either side, but at night they are closed and it looks like a straight wall window drape. I hope this aptly describes it (picture a capital "D" and the curved part is the 3 bay windows whereas the straight line is how the curtains fit.).
