Depending on your decor in your living room, you could use plantation shutters on the side windiws, just in the bottom Windows and a nice cushion with throw pillows on the seat.
If you do not need privacy....plants work wonders.add some colorful vases or bowls as well
What a great window! 😊 I would paint the interior of the window and all the frames a glossy white! This will reflect any sunlight that you get and the window will just look brighter. After that, I agree with Diane: white shutters on the lower side windows and a cushion and throw pillows in cheerful colors on the seat. If you want privacy I would hang light colored grommeted window panels above the entire window. That way you could easily pull them back during the day to expose your bright new window!
If this is the only window in your living room... I can see why you did not put up curtains... Is the window sturdy enough to use as a bench? If so... add a colorful cushion... and some pillows... if not a you could paint the ceiling and the "floor" of the window a bright color... or put a colorful lamp. in it... perhaps one made of glass, so the light shines thru....
You could use it to hang plants... I did that in my kitchen... it needed something.. so it did not look like a gold fish bowl... but I did not want curtains or shades ...which is another thing you could hang in each of the windows... colorful ones... pull then down a few inches in the daytime and all the way down for privacy at night...
What color are the walls? I was about to say lacy curtains on swivel brackets, but I'd keep them swung out against the walls and not blocking anymore daylight. White walls, even high gloss to bounce the light around, would help. So would a large mirror opposite the window.
Have you considered a stained glass piece? The colors can be so amazing with the light coming through and your beautiful window needs so color. Just a thought!
You could put beautiful or colorful pillows and a throw on the window seat, as I did for the window seat in my home's living room. (You can see more photos here: http://momhomeguide.com/new-living-room-decor/) Good luck!
P.S. Colorful curtains will help, too.
Create a custom fitted cushion with pretty material!
Hi Brianna - it is a lovely window. If it's feasible, I'd make a window seat with small pillows and a coordinating draping scarf around.
