How to make this window to see out but not so much in?

They make one way privacy film. It is mirrored on the outside but from the inside you can still see out. Depending on the transparency level the view to the outside may be tinted similiar with auto glass tint. It is also applied in the same manner as auto glass tint. A quick google search of “one way privacy film” will lead you to several distributors, including Walmart.

You might not want to use mirrored film. Some birds are very territorial and will spend a lot of time trying to attack the stranger (their own reflection) in the mirror.

If you go with the mirrored film, it is great btw, maybe put a silhouette an owl on the window to keep birds from flying into your window.

I agree about the doubtful use of a mirrored film. There's also the danger of birds thinking that they can fly through to the mirrored trees and crashing into the window, injuring or killing themselves.

There is screening - and/or window shades that you can see out and not in (except at night with inside lighting)...

I've been looking on-line - can't find what I want, but still looking. Several stores in our area have this screen in their windows so I'm going to stop one day and ask them where they got it. I think the home box stores have it...just not an easy find in our area!

Sheer or net curtains will give you privacy, also outside screens , but just about any of these solutions won't work at night. Another idea is "top down" shades/blinds that you can push/pull to keep the light coming in at the top, but you can pull it up to your height inside so others can't see in. Even just at chest height, you will have privacy but be able to see out and can fully close at night

Use sun screens like they use inLas Vegas. They are customized to your windows. Can’t see in but can see out & don’t block all of the light.

Just saw a DIY project someone did using frosted contact paper. They made cut-outs of diamonds with about an inch between them. apparently it lets them see out, but it’s difficult for people to see in I’m going to try it to cut down on sun glare.
