How do I treat this window to keep light out?
This window is in the sitting area of the bedroom of our new house. Since I don't get up with the chickens & would like to keep light out, what is the best way to do that? As you can see there are blinds at the bottom for privacy, but I'd love any creative ideas to keep light out. Only thing I can think of is tall curtain panels, and close them at night.

Beautiful room! Looks nice and spacious too. I would just install a dual rod curtain rod and hang drapes and sheers underneath. If budget allows, you can get some stunning custom window treatments.
I do get up before the chickens, 4 a.m. to be exact, so I would love the light streaming in, yet understand those that don't.
