I need some ideas about decorating the bay window in our bedroom.

We just moved in and need something to cover the windows, hopefully something that will block the light. Thanks for any help

try some flat bed sheets, just pull up and over curtain rod, they will be too long so let hang over for double thickness

Since it's your bedroom, you may want to start with some blackout panels. You can hang pretty curtains over them.
Sun screen material on the outside of the window makes it so you can see out but they can't see in during the day. At night, keep the lights down low. This also helps keep the sun heat out of the room. I've had one bay window (front room) so my wife had curtains made.
