Any of the above, then cover it with a plastic shower curtain and tape it to the molding. Actually if you can find an old quilt at a thrift store or from a friend that has an extra one, that would really help. Best of luck!
You could try something like this, it's not really expensive:

We use bubble wrap across windows that need weatherproofing. It is inexpensive and will let in light but also give you privacy. You can get large rolls of it at Walmart. We use it on unused windows all winter and even 2/3 of the window covered on others. It cut our heat bill immensely!

do you have any doors inside the home? If you just take them off the hinges and put them next to each other and stretch your sheets or blankets or plastic across them. they should be about 7 foot high and wiil let some light thru at the top but shield you from cold and lingering eyes.
When they took down my chimney, I used a large blue tarp to cover the 7' x 12' hole in the wall in the dead of winter on the outside (bonus is there are grommets in the tarp to fasten to outside wall. Then I hung some old blankets across the opening by stringing a clothes line from one side of the wall to the opposite side using hooks to feed the clothes line through them, and fastened to the clothes line with clothes pin (Dollar Tree for clothes line and pins)
I also closed all the other rooms off and put a space heater that looks like a radiator in the bedroom for heat.
can you barrow a 2 man pup tent from a friend? Foam pad and blankets. If you have a few red bricks warm them in an oven or over a grill wrap in cotton towels for your feet. Most pup tents can be set up in a house Or on a double bed. The tent keeps the heat in.
Do you need help getting the heat fixed? While it is no where near freezing, it still gets chilly. Make sure you keep your pup covered at night while sleeping. I have one that crawls under the covers on her own and the others I have throws for and they happily snooze away and are warm and snuggly.
