I've seen arch windows dressed with curtains where the arch begins and the top of the arch is still open. Looked OK to me.
How about Rustoleum Frost spray paint, or use non-adhesive decorative window film, they have lots of different types on Amazon from stained glass to privacy styles.
A "faux" wrought iron grill made of rubber floor mats that are painted. A nicely patterned piece of cloth cut to fit.

there are plastic / vynel privacy films in assorted patterns patterns and colors.
they are more of a cling type than adhesive....super easy to use....and removable without any special removers. roommates is the brand carried in my area i'm sure there are other brands out there.... found them near the curtain area at wally's., also the worlds biggest on line store had them.
