Strongest glue to attach side ribbon to woven woods roman shades
I am trying to widen my Hunter Douglas woven woods roman shade blinds (that go up and down daily. Despite new custom windows, now blinds are too narrow. Ugh. May not work, but giving it a shot...any thoughts on strongest, flexible glue to attach a 2" herringbone ribbon tape to the sides woven woods? Glue gun might work, but don't know if they will melt in sun. Thank you!

the E6000 glues are good and strong also Gorilla glue - you could always call the company that made your Roman shades or go to their website to see if they can help you
E6000 Fabric Fuse.
E600 products are fantastic. Is it possible you are going to apply the ribbon to both the interior and exterior sides of your roman blinds. If you do that, the shades will look great from either side and in addition it might serve to strengthen the "bond" to the shades as the ribbon would be glued to the shade as well as to the outer edges of the ribbons when combined.
Loctite construction adhesive that comes in a caulking tube is tough. I think tougher than E-6000 and does not dry hard.
One of the things I like about E6000 is that is self leveling so your ribbon would lay smooth on the shades.
E6000 gets my vote.
Go with the E6000.
E6000 is my 'go-to' glue.
I would use Wonder Under, which is a fusible fabric, that you can iron the ribbon to. JoAnns fabrics sells it.
Fuseable webbing such as Wonder Under, may stick to the underside of the ribbon, but I would doubt if it would stay adhered to the blind, especially after being rolled up and down a few times. I would not think that a blind with this texture would would have open fibre content sufficient for the webbing strip to fuse into.
Hi Linda, if the E6000 does not work, you can try Shoe Goo

I wonder as an alternatives idea —-would be -to mount some painted molding or tape around your window glass?
The idea of calling the manufacturer might be suggested as well. We had some problems with motorized shades as well and I think they offered to remake them at a deep deep discount.
Yes! E6000 is may way to go!
I agree with the E6000
I agree with William E6000 Fabric Fuse https://amzn.to/3FvMFIO
From the information provided in the original question, I do not have the understanding that these blinds are motorized blinds. As well, the problem with them not fitting (they are too narrow) has resulted from new windows having recently been installed. Therefore, I would say that trying to contact the manufacturer, as Vimarhonor suggests, in the hopes that they would remake them at a discount price, is futile.
I use E6000 when I need a flexible hold that stays!
The toughest glue I've found is E6000. You could use clamps too to secure it till it has finished drying.
I use gorilla glue
Gorilla Clear Glue!
