How can I hang my swag curtains. They are too long and I want them to just touch the floor.

Hang the rod up against the ceiling or anywhere in between the ceiling and the top of the window. If you sew, you can hem them.
I agree, move your rod IP. Also you could put a decorate tie around them & balloon them on the sides.
Shorten the length with Bobby Pins.
You can buy iron-on hem tape and shorten them at the bottom.
Try using clear shower clear plastic curtain hoop type hangers -orto shorten, reverse the platen on a stapler -so staples come out flat instead of bending each end- and staple your hem up - to reverse platen push up on bottom of stapler - the little plate where staples normally land can be rotated.
