Here we put up a removable peel and stick window film to improve privacy and to hide a very ugly exterior wall that we couldn't do anything about. This is easy and completely removable when we leave!

Final Product

Read on below for how I got this privacy film!

The brand I used

Here's the brand I used, but there were lots of options online. I ordered this on Amazon.

Instructions!

Here are the instructions that came with the film.

Measure

I measured against the window to make a mark for how wide I needed my film to be.

Draw a straight line

I used a straight edge to draw a line all the way down.

Cut

I used an exacto knife to cut in a straight line.

Clean Window

I used a cleaner to clean all the dust and dirt off the window.

Make Soapy Water

Get soapy water and put all over the window.

Squish!

I just pushed the film right onto the window and it helped it to stick to the window! It was SUPER easy to move around and shift at this point.

Push Bubbles!

Here's where I pushed the bubbles out to the edges.

Tiny Bubbles

You can see in this close up that it's not perfect. It's fine.

Halfway!

Here you can see the bottom is done, and the top still needs to be covered.

Before!

Here's a reminder of what it looked like before we began

FINAL!

Here's the final image, edited! We love the impact it makes.

I have used the window films on our front door side light panels, garage windows and even a low panel on our glass doors so our dogs know the door is closed.

    REALLY easy to install.

I have this on most of my windows. I recently used it on my floor to ceiling bow window in my living room. My dogs go nuts over any and everything that passes by. This has helped tremendously to keep the noise down in the house. Great tutorial.
