Everyone liked the faux stained glass window in my bathroom remodel project the best so I thought I'd post some more windows design. I took this art up about 8 yrs ago. The website for supplies is https://plaidonline.com/brands/gallery-glass

So this was my first project, I had a transom window over our bedroom french doors that light streamed through early on the weekends LOL, to lessen the light a little, i cut a piece of plexiglass and mounted it over the window

Find a picture, blow up using either PDF or a software program for printing poster size. This is 2 pieces of plexiglass cut to fit one of the master bathroom windows in our last home. Some of the lines are outlined with precut leading and some of it is done is liquid leading.

this is the picture installed

I wanted to do the front door. Some of it I did on a plastic sheet where you paint and when it's dry, you peel it off slowly then press it on the glass. The rest I painted onto the glass. It doesn't look as good from the outside looking in. icon

I did a sea-scape for the transom over the living room french doors

I pulled down pictures of fish, coral, sea weed off the web, and painted them them on cling plastic and transferred to the transom

I had a large window over the tub and decided to do a huge plexi glass painting there

You can see the panes of the window, but it still was a nice change from curtains.

Loved the light it cast in the bathroom

This is an example of a cling (yes, we ARE SC Gamecock Fans!) This is approx 14 x 8 inches

I did this one for my mother in laws bathroom window

I loved Stary Stary Night and did a painting that I framed for hanging in a window

I am in SC and wonder how the sun will affect the pieces when they have been exposed for a bit of time. We have transom type windows atop our very large windows and I would love to try this but we are blasted by the mid-to-late afternoon sun which is fierce in the summer as I'm sure you must know. Would hate to do all the work only to have it fade away. Any ideas? You did a fabulous job.

    Hi Sandy...

They are just beautiful!!! I would love to do transoms above each bedroom doorway and this might be the ticket. :)

    However...I have never attempted this.

Do you have any step-by-step instructions on how you do it and what supplies you use to get those colors so vibrant...and what types of lead do you use..?

Beautiful work. I would like to try the plexiglass on my bathroom window. What type of paint did you use? Acrylic? If so, did you seal the painting on the plexiglass with a basic water sealer, such as Krylon clear glass spray? Or other sealer?

Wow! So pretty! All I have ever done is the peal and stick on from Home Depo! But it looks better than left alone squares over my tub!!😁 you have a great talent for this!
