I must admit, one year ago I would have walked right past this without batting an eyelash. After seeing the amazing projects you all do, this looks like a treasure sitting among trash bags. I just wish I had a truck. I'm going to talk to the Hometalk development team about building in a furniture alert system for spotting discarded furniture :) That way you can subscribe to be on the list and receive an alert when junk is spotted in your area. LOL.
The moment I saw Laura Thomas and No longer available breathtaking pictures of the Skagit Valley tulip festival, I knew I HAD to go. And go I did! I have no words to describe the beauty I saw, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy them!
We had the BEST hangout today with UNFOLDED If you've been wondering about Chalk Paint® (especially after seeing all of Melody Smith's swoon worthy recent projects), this video will get you in the mood to paint! Hosted by the charming Eclectically Vintage - Kelly with special Hometalk guests Nancy @ ArtsyChicksRule , UNFOLDED and Melody Smith Let me know what you think! Do you want to try your hand at Chalk Paint®?
My grandmother lives in a lovely senior community in New Jersey. Every time I visit, I linger for a while admiring the delightful centerpieces and vignettes on the entryway shelves lining in the hallways. (They're a crafty bunch those neighbors of hers!) And so I did what any good Hometalking granddaughter should -- I made her a little vignette of her own!
Happy Earth Day, Hometalk! I took these pictures on a recent visit to The Butchart Gardens. I thought today would be the perfect day to share them with you. I look at them and am filled with gratitude and awe at the beautiful earth we live in.
Ph, and while on the topic of gratitude, thanks to Hometalkers like Barb Rosen , Julie @ Wife, Mother, Gardener Three Dogs in a Garden Douglas Hunt 360 Sod (Donna Dixson) (any many others!), I was able to identify many of the plants and flowers as I strolled through the garden. My boyfriend was highly impressed, lol!
I just saw this post on Rhoda's blog (Southern Hospitality) and had to share since I know so many of you will love this. It's a hotel furniture outlet in Forsyth, GA. That means high-end hotel furniture at ridiculous prices! Here is all the info: http://southernhospitalityblog.com/cash-hotel-furniture-liquidation-forsyth-ga/comment-page-1/
This is my small (tiny!) galley kitchen. Luckily I'm not much of a cook, lol! My countertops are granite. I like them, but I wouldn't have picked them out had the choice been mine. What about you? Do you love or hate your kitchen countertops? Tell us what you have and post a pic!
