Easy ways to use up all those ribbon scraps you might add. And you can cater it to your colors at the time..
Being from North Carolina, we tend to love our beaches. Not to say the mountains aren't wonderful but this family loves the beach. We go to Ft. Fisher every 4th of July week and have a blast. When trying to decide what to do with another dresser I was working on it hit me..List the beaches in North Carolina. What a way to remember the beach year round or even to use in a beach house if you are one of those lucky people..
It was tedious I will say but I loved it in the end.
My bestie, Liz has been collecting parts, pieces and stuff to create a potting bench. She has been collecting these parts over thousands of miles. When she comes to NC to visit me or in Texas where she lives. She hauled, shipped and did a carry on for those watering cans. Nothing stops her when she is on a mission and has a vision to bring to life.
The whole piece is comprised of found items. The legs are old porch columns, the top is an old chippy door. The shelving unit on top is from an antique store part of an old hutch I think.
While most are sporting the fun autumnal colors right now - I've a house with kiddos who love scary, gory, eerie and spooky. Our porch for October belongs to Halloween. Check it out- but if you truly want autumn then you will have to check back in November- BOO!
With spring quickly approaching I am looking for ways to decorate some eggs for Easter. I've compiled some ideas in Pinterest. Take a look: http://pinterest.com/tlhebert/easter-egg-ideas/
With Valentines day approaching we are looking for ideas to decorate and gifts to give. I'm not the traditional in your face red color girl. I like very calm neutral colors. This was a very easy project. The mache heart was purchased from Michael's and then was decoupaged with wrapping paper. I then took a small wooden heard painted it and stamped love on it and added some trim. Very easy peasy and it looks amazing.
I paint furniture and usually the good stuff always got sold at shows. Not this time. I found an amazing buffet- well not so amazing when I found it - but she is now. And she is all mine. She needed a bit of tweaking and rebuilding but she was so worth all the trouble. Meet Eloise. And don't overlook a piece that is broken - the cheap price might be all it takes to bring it home and make it yours.
What do you do with a room for a boy who loves the army, hunting and video games? Why we did an army themed room with a touch of hunters orange for that unexpected pop.
