This Modern Planter Box is a simple design that can make a huge impact to any space. You can display this eye-catching planter both indoors or outdoors.I chose to make an outdoor planter, so I used Cedar lumber due to its durability and insect repelling properties. I painted the planter white, but it will look great in any finish. Although they are not a long-term solution because they can get too big, I planted White African Iris and complemented them with some River Rock.

We all know how awesome live edge furniture looks. Sadly everything comes at a cost, and since I make a lot of stuff I need to watch my budget. Though this may not be a true live edge, with a little creativity you can create an awesome faux live edge piece. Even if you don’t need a mirror this faux live edge concept can be applied to almost any project you would like to make. If you follow me you know I have a thing for LEDs, so if it’s not your thing you can look past that.I used pine lumber and shaped it to have a natural look. Then, added an inexpensive mirror and added LEDs to give a nice glow. This could be floor standing or wall mounted mirror. Lastly, I used a plug in smart outlet that can be controlled via WIFI.

I have been asked hundreds of time to do a room tour. I would love to make one but I need to address a few things first. I have made a bed, a sliding barn door, a Mirror and a sofa bed for this room. Well, I’m finally getting around to the TV area. This will be a two-part thing. For this post, I made the LED TV panel and relocated the wires to make sure nothing was visible. There is a lot to cover in this post. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The wall panel is a breath of fresh air in the space.I am also excited and looking forward to seeing what challenges I will run into creating the remainder of pieces for this room. For feature updates stay tuned to diycreators.com
I have made a few planters, but this is by far my favorite one. This could be made for interior or exterior. Since this was made for indoors I used pond liner and a plastic planter box. I used pine lumber, so I didn't want the lumber to have direct contact with the soil. For exterior use, my suggestion would be to use Cedar lumber, this is common for exterior planter box and it's ok to have direct contact with soil. Of course, any protection wouldn't hurt. Cedar is also known for repelling some insects.Although the stand looks like metal, this is all made from wood. I used select pine and pine common board.
Hi Guys,For this Instructables, I wanted to share with you an easy way to make an awesome concrete lamp. This idea can be scaled for all size, whether you want to go small or larger. As is the lamp stands 46 1/2 inches tall. Paired with a smart outlet this can now be a smart lamp control by voice or an app. I think it would be even cooler if I had put LEDs on both sides. All in all, it can be a very nice piece to have in your living space. It's could also make a great gift. I may just make another one so I have a matching pair. Well, let's get to making.
