Think those sunny gardens have all the fun? That big drama can only be accomplished in full sun? Not true! Here are a few of the Drama Queens kicking up a fuss in my shade/pt shade garden.
I went for a walk around Colony Farms Regional Park in Metro Vancouver last week, and these were just a few of the dahlias I spotted with my camera. I will certainly be looking for a few of these varieties next spring when it's time to buy tubers once again! I've been thrifting for weeks. Gathering fun and creative containers to upcycle and plant for my spring Market Shop. This week bloggers descended on Milner Gardens for a garden party and meetup. It was a fun day of plants, decor, delicious tea from The Little White House and demo's including the very crafty @FunkyJunkDonna
Earlier this week I shared with you the photo's from our recent visit to RoozenGaarde at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Today I bring you all the colours of the rainbow, straight from Tulip Town!
This place was so sparkly and colourful, that I kept expecting a rainbow of Skittles to come raining down on us at any moment. I kid you not it was that beautiful.
With a twist on the classic Winter wreath, I took a grapevine wreath, an assortment of Tillandsia air plants, craft wire & moss and went to town creating this spectacular air garden. It was simple & easy to make. The perfect project for you & your friends for this winters See the link for more details & a chance to WIN tickets to Art Knapp's Ladies Night this weekend! -> http://www.thedandelionwrangler.ca/2013/11/create-an-air-garden-with-a-tillandsia-wreath-contest-alert.html

On Sunday, April 28th gardeners and shutterbugs from across the Lower Mainland will flood into Vancouver for VanDusen Gardens can't miss Plant Sale! This annual event is full of inexpensive plants, knowledgeable workers and of course lots, and lots of flowers to feast your eyes on. Bring your carts and wheelbarrows ready to lug home this seasons garden treasures!
Do you have a backyard, a patio, or a window box? Have you been trying to find ways to maximize your space to get the highest yield? Tomatoes make bright and colourful hanging baskets. Or how about a window box full of mixed greens like West Coast Blend? I had been doing this for years but still wanted more. When sun is scarce and every square foot matters its time for some outside of the box thinking.
This lead me to Home Harvest Farms stainless steel 3 tiered terraced garden. A perfect fit for my patio living. Over the last year I trialed this garden in my home, with my kids, cats and friends picking, plucking and grazing.
