I have a farm house style kitchen, it’s a mix of new and old, and the vintage barn wood from my childhood home is the perfect base for a floral centerpiece on the kitchen island.Using roses from my yard, old spritzer bottles and my cherished Mason aqua jars it fits right in with the style of the kitchen. I love repurposing items and the barn wood I brought many years ago to Arizona, from my childhood home in Colorado, is no exception. Take a look how I use it as a meat and cheese board for entertaining. Not only am I sharing some photos of how I set up the meat and cheese board but also how I’ve used the board for centerpieces. II hope you enjoy this project and it inspires you to repurpose items in your home. During a recent trip to Goodwill, I bought an old scratched up toolbox for $1.99 and repurposed it into a planter for faux succulents. I used faux succulents because I’m using this in the basement family room where I’d forget to water and maintain the plants.
Here’s a fun way I display my kid’s sports jerseys in their rooms. I buy canvas from thrift stores then staple their hockey and soccer jersey's on the canvas! Abracadabra... Instant wall art!
