Shabby Chic Pumpkins

This is not your typical pumpkin! Why do pumpkins need to be orange? Well in my house they don't, I wanted something that matched my farmhouse style so I designed these easy pumpkins that are rustic but elegant. So lets not waste time its October already, but these are fast and you can use them until Thanksgiving.

welcome to the north pole

Welcome to the NORTH POLE!

I wanted to do something different for the holidays. So, I put my thinking cap on and came up with this beauty. I think everyone can enjoy this fun Christmas project a North Pole sign. I'm not sure if I'll us this outside for my porch or inside.. most likely outside. I also thought this would be great for hanging our stockings since we don't have a fireplace. I hope you're as excited as me to make this!

Spool Snowman

I love using unconventional materials to make craft projects, in this case my friend saw these on the local Marketplace sale page and they were right up the street from me. She said Shelly I know you can make something with these and she sent me a few pictures and this is what I came up with. All items I had on hand! The spools were only $5 for all 4 of them. So this is going to be an easy fun project that maybe some of you will do. Next time you see the spools you'll know what you can make with them.

Lets make this great scrap wood pumpkin I did for a football fund raiser for a local school I think I did about 40 of them. It was fun and helped the team, it's always nice to be able to give back.

$3 Burlap Pumpkin

Shabby Chic fall décor.. A nice spin to the traditional pumpkin. It only cost $3 and you can get all these items at your local Dollar Tree. Side note: did you know you can order online and have it ship to the store at no cost? I used those bright orange foam pumpkins. One roll of burlap poke-a-dot ribbon. One roll covers perfectly with about an 1" to spare, some twine and a hot glue gun. I loved this simple DIY project great for any beginner. I hope you'll love as much as I do!

spell book diy

Spell Book DIY

Create a spell book for Halloween, make any bookshelf look extra spooky. This is a great way to repurpose books or if you don't have any pick one up at the dollar store. Any hard cover book will work and add some three dimensional trinkets to make it creepy. Every year I make a couple to add to my collection. This year I thought I'd share how I do mine. This spell book is fun and simple and is great for kids and adults of all ages.
