In order to avoid turning into the "Office Space" movie cover guy, drastic changes NEEDED to be made to organize my lil 'ol blog. And since the entire planner was handmade albeit a labor of love, why not share it with the world?
This bad boy is 132 (half sized) pages chock full with the standard:

Weary of making your own Laundry Detergent? I'm here to tell you that it's super simple and three ingredients is all it takes to whip up your own batch of Homemade Laundry Detergent.
Mix equal parts: Borax, OxiClean, and Super Washing Soda. ...
Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veteran’s Day are days where I'm really a mix bag of emotions. The unity and the sacrifice individuals have made for our freedoms is just unmatched during the other holidays. Seeing vets remove their caps and cover their hearts during parades and the star spangled banner queues the waterworks every time.
Every year my family likes to get together and celebrate this day. We reflect upon the lives lost much too soon and say a little prayer for those serving and have served in the past. We also catch ourselves talking about what freedom means to us and what we're grateful to have. This year is no exception and I decided to spoil my guests with this gorgeous outdoor tablescape.
This year I decided to give stars and stripes a break and let the holiday colors take the center stage. At first I was nervous about mixing so many different styles, but I think with a little re-working, it turned out better than I could imagine!!...
Join us as we take our dated 70's non-functioning entryway and stuff it with storage, color, and function! Nothing beats a new, bright, and colorful area as you walk in the door! For this round, find out what other FREE creative materials we re-purposed to keep our budget at or below $100.
If you have a Silhouette Cameo (or a really steady hand with an exact-o knife), you can whip up these cutie Refrigerator Magnets in less than 2 hours.
To make them more 'earth friendly,' use scrap paper, food boxes, and recycled advertiser magnets (like the ones you get from your realtor).

My boyfriend is THE Biggest Simpsons fan, so in light of his 'milestone' birthday, I decided to throw him a Simpsons Themed Birthday Party. The party was a blast and it included these custom invitations.
Using some leftover scrapbook paper (that we've had around for ages), some perfect Simpson's Yellow paper, foam we found around the 'tool shop,' sandpaper (for Homer's Beard), a few envelopes, a handy printer, and the Silhouette, we created these completely custom 3D Homer Simpson Invitations. For how we made them 3D, check out the tutorial (link below).
You can also hop through other DIY'd craftiness (like homer head balloons, the tablescape, etc) that we made for the party!
At Black and White Obsession the beau and I tackled sooo many projects in 2013. From jacking our house up (which included sparks) to updating our kitchen to crafty projects like sewn outdoor pillows and everything in between.

Using items from around your home to create a gorgeous tablescape couldn't get any easier!
We threw some of our favorite pieces on the table and arranged them to create drama with varying heights. Jingle bells and candy ornaments strewn throughout the table to add to the subtle holiday look.
Last year we decked the halls in my obsession: Black and White. Of course the beau falls head over heels with red- so we added a splash of color just for him.
Check out all the deals we've scored on ornaments over the years on ornaments on the blog. I'll even let you in on our little secret...
As soon as my eyes caught these sad Directors Chairs during a Goodwill Tour, I knew they had to come home and receive the makeover they deserved. A little TLC and a lot of love turned these Directors Chairs into one of a kind favorite staples for our Outdoor Movie Nigths!
