This Glitzy Bling Centerpiece or 1 Minute Wowzer, whatever you call it, is FAST to make. (My kind of project.) Just take a premade wreath, a decorative bowl and add Christmas balls and you are fininshed!
Each season I try to update the entry to my home. This year I find myself working a new job and gone over 60 a week so I wanted to make it simple. I used some of the same elements as last fall. However this year instead of using the Christmas transitional color of green, I used cranberry.
This is the first phase in our guest bedroom makeover, which we call “The Summer Room”.Centered around a 50” Bessie the Cow painting that I found at a thrift store for $5 (Wayfair $397), my goal was to create a bright space to house art made by friends and family. For this phase, I limited my budget to a maximum of $50.
Was this the longest winter EVER in the midwest? The spring before I had a garage sale in February! But this year winter stretched out through April. So with a very short Spring, I needed an easy redo. I started with a wreath I picked upat a thrift store for $1.87 and added some lose flowers to fill it out.

This week our challenge at Hometalk was a Pottery Barn inspired DIY project. I wanted to makeover a corner of my master bedroom in a sea cottage style. Pottery Barn’s coastal decor reminds me of my favorite spot in the US, Block Island. This year they have Lily Pulitzer golden sea creatures, mirrored nightstands, Mongolian faux fur footstools, shell decor and hourglasses. I’d love to have it all! But my budget is $25, which would buy me about half of a golden sea turtle 😂. So I scoured my house for treasures, hit the Dollar Tree and a few thrift stores in town. I was inspired!
