Hubby recently inherited his grandparents treasured radio/record player and he was so happy to bring it home. It wasn’t taken care of for so many years, but he saw only beauty in that old battered and chewed up electronic piece. The piece is an Admiral 1949 radio/record player with a solid wooden case. My hubby has a pretty extensive record collection and he couldn’t wait to get it working again.
Having a garden means being prepared for the upcoming growing season. One way to do that is to start your seeds indoors about 6 weeks before the last frost date in your zone. But when its cold and dreary outside and you don’t have the window space, what’s a gardener to do? It's time to make my own PVC grow light stand.
I have a soft spot in my heart and soul for Mercury Glass. There is just something so elegant about that shiny glass but you can also use it with other textures throughout the house. For decorating, I love to use mercury glass for the holidays. But, it can be very pricey. I was so happy when I found out I could make my own knockoff version of mercury glass.
The easiest way I like to decorate for any season is with pillows. I usually buy a pillow cover and decorate it, because its more economical than buying the whole pillow. And lets face it. Pillows are not cheap. I recently made a really easy DIY fall pillow I would like to share with you.
Its that time of the year where I go around and start collecting dead flower heads in my butterfly garden. Be sure to check out my post on how to collect flower seeds. I had so many beautiful types of zinnias this year and I wanted to be sure to preserve them for next year. I also needed a better way to store my seeds, so I came up with DIY seed containers.
The weather can be intense in Florida and cloth garden flags just don't last. They fade, discolor and fall apart. I was done with cloth and ready to move on to something that would last.
