From Broken Fence to SUPER SIZED Antique Cutting Board Tray!

I adore antique cutting boards!
But they are very hard to come by, and likely pretty expensive in my given area.
So... I decided to make my own, but with a massive twist.
Useful projects are my deal, so this one is SUPER SIZED, and was flipped into a serving tray. How fun!
And seriously? SUPER easy and cheap too. :)

This cutting board on steroids can seriously become anything you wish it to be! A tray, centrepiece, table top, or hang it on a wall with hooks for kitchen needs. Fun, right?! Let's make this...
It all started with a broken down fence. Yes, you shall come home with me! And sit until I simply figure out what to actually do with you.

This may be why junkers tend to be full fledged hoarders...
Throwing a few desired planks together, a pattern was created, then cut with a jigsaw, and a little sanding..

(more in-depth details on the blog link below)
Seriously, I couldn't believe how authentic this turned out. Super easy with a palm sander!
Next up, was to pretty it up with a kitchen worthy stencil saying.
Any stencil will do, as long as it resembles crate markings of sorts.

I chose Apple Farm to chime in with fall, from my own line of Funky Junk's Old Sign Stencils - found at blog link below.
Woa... try cutting meat on that! The entire family could join you at the same time. :)
How fun!
What would you use yours for? :)
