DIY Dishwasher Tablets

Don’t you just hate having to buy household items that you end up just throwing away? Things like toilet paper, paper towels…and dishwasher tablets? Well, l’m about to let you in on a life changing, money saving secret- how to make your own dishwasher tablets!
These are super easy to make and keep my dishwasher spotless!
The ingredients:

1 cup Arm and Hammer Washing Soda

1 cup Baking Soda

1 cup Kosher Salt (more or less, the purpose is to reduce water

spotting. if your water is soft you can use less)

3 TBS. Lemon Juice

1 cup water
Mix all ingredients and pour a shallow amount into ice cube or other

small trays that will fit your dishwashers soap dispenser.

(I have some nifty, tiny plastic squares I got at the

dollar store that fit my dishwasher just right).

These don’t shrink as they dry, so whatever you pour is what the size will be.

Allow to dry for 24 hours, or until all liquid is absorbed.

Pop out of the mold and store in an airtight container.

Thanks! I tried this a few days ago, and it worked. I had given up up on buying the tablets and started buying gel packs instead to use in the dispenser. Now that I know, I think I will make some home made tablets! 😊
