  • Great job! I had the same bar-height table that I used in my studio, but I was lazier than you.... I just covered the whole black thing with two coats of KILZ primer and then white gloss paint. It was a workhorse of a desk with GORJUS legs ;)

    So glad I saw this post. I found a roadside castoff last weekend of a dining table with pedestal support - huge, heavy, solid wood, oval top. I've been thinking about how to refinish and I think you've helped me decide. White pedestal bottom, natural finish on tabletop. I can't wait to get started!
