An old buffet becomes a TV console...one less piece in a landfill!

This buffet had seen better days, the center drawers were broken and the finish was in bad shape. The bones of this piece were in solid shape, so with a little Annie Sloan Graphite and some clear and dark wax it becomes a media console.
Sad and neglected...just removed the drawer tracks. I did do quite a bit of sanding on the top of this piece to try and get a smoother finish.
It took 3 coats of paint...the old wood just kept sucking up the paint.
Side view...I love the detailing on this piece.
Pretty smooth considering how rough it was.
I did light distressing and reused the original hardware.

Thank-you! Yes, I use it a lot, this piece is done in her Graphite color.

This is very nice but the handles detract from the color. They need to be painted silver or maybe black.
