Craft Room

My craft room was a bit boring, so I decided to jazz if up a bit!
This was my craft room storage before. Sure, I added some color with the cute bins, but it left much to be desired!
I purchased this armoire for $15. I had to scrape the chipped veneer off.
After scraping the veneer, I patched up the little digs and imperfections.
The mistinted green paint I bought was hideous! I purchased some white and toned it down.
I had to finish the inside too. The wardrobe portion now houses shelves for my papers and other supplies.
A lot of sweat and hard labor went into this piece!
I may have paid $15, but to me, it's priceless!
I purchased some great knobs at Lowe's on clearance!
I purchased this for $5. It had several layers of paint that needed to be stripped.
Once I painted the armoire, I didn't know what to do with my desk.
Since this is a Sauder desk, I was afraid of what the surface might look like if I sanded. I used 123 Bullseye Primer-it boasts you can use it on any surface without sanding.
I love using Micrsoft Paint to get an idea how I want something to turn out. I used it on the armoire too.
Getting there! AFter I had taken this pic, I realized I painted the top drawer the wrong color-Oops!
Finished desk in place.
My desk completed. The backing is a paisley gift wrap, and I decided to add a little under the glass too. I got the glass for free!
Still playing with the placement of items.
Removable wall decals area great way to add some pizazz. I purchased several sets of these dots and lettering from the Dollar Tree.
A little wider shot from the doorway.
I loved playing around with the letters to create a phraze.
A removable wall decal, I used a sharpie to add some color.
The decal sits above the guest bed.

Wow, this is an amazing transformation, love the suggestion about Microsoft Paint, I'm always wondering if I'm going to like my idea, never thought about using the Paint option, thanks!!
