Repurposed Baby Crib

Barn Tree Place
by Barn Tree Place
Don't get rid of special keepsakes or store them in the attic....Repurpose them!
Create beautiful statement pieces to your home decorations, by adding pieces from your antique crib!
Let's start by saying....I found this gem at a garage sale and only paid $8!! WooHoo!
Side Railings:

* Use as a blanket rack

* Towel Rack in Guest or Master Bathroom

*Hang Baskets, by attaching to rails and fill with bathroom necessities, plants in the garden...

* Hang in the kitchen as a "Hanging Pot Rack"! Super cute!!
With the ends, here are a few ideas:

* For ours; We are going to make planter boxes to fit under the bottom portion of the crib. Paint the center with Chalkboard Paint for the purpose of a Welcome "sign".

(We will follow with pictures when we complete it)

* Cut off the ends (if yours is not complete like ours) and configure to a baby/animal "swing open" gate. This would be much cuter than using the plastic or plain wood sliding gates. Paint to match your indoor decor or leave as is.

* Turn into a entryway seat. Build a bench seat and attach the crib end piece behind.

What a cute statement piece it would be!
The Old Springs:

* Hang old family pictures

* Would also make a good "Hanging Pot Rack" for the kitchen

* Decorate a room by hanging a wreath, or use as a jewelry hanger!

* Or....As seen in the top picture, We placed it above our old set of lockers that are in our living room (another Awesome "find"). We needed "height" since the lockers are against a very tall ceiling. Worked perfect!! For a special touch, we attached a wooden flag to the springs. I love my lockers! :)

Have fun with repurposing your Keepsakes! Enjoy!

We have old wooden cribs out in the shop. I love the idea of a blanket rack!

Great idea with the wooden cribs too. Paint or stain...or if beautifully aged....leave as is! Share pics & enjoy! :)
