DIY Scrap Wood Christmas Tree Address Sign

Easy
Do you have an nice stack of scrap wood in the garage? I recently participated in a scrap wood challenge organized by the Sawdust Girl, Sandra. I wanted to make something with a Christmas theme and came up with the idea of building a Christmas tree shaped address sign. Follow along for steps on building one of your own.
To build the Christmas tree address sign, you'll need to following items:

- A scrap piece of 1x6 board 6" long or a piece of 1x12 3" long

- A jigsaw or scrollsaw

- Sander

- Acrylic paints

- A sealer (I used Mod Podge)
If you're using scrap 1x6 boards, you'll want to glue the edges together to make a ~11 wide board.

Draw the shape of a Christmas tree onto the board.
Cut out the shape of the sign with a jig saw or scroll saw. Also cut out the shapes of numbers for the address.
Sand the tree and the numbers. Next up, it's time to paint! Give the tree a base coat of green paint. I also painted the numbers red.
Once the base coat dries, paint in some extra details.
I punched out some 1" circles for glitter scrapbook paper and glued them to the tree as ornaments.
Seal the project and it's now ready to be displayed outdoors.
