DIY Storage Ottoman

$54
Medium
Using some scraps of wood and plywood, the foam and batting from our old couch cushions and some new fabric I built an ottoman for our living room. In my blog post I show each step so you can build one too.
To begin I basically built a box out of plywood.
I attached some legs.
Then I covered the top in foam and batting and the sides in batting.
For the inside I covered it in fabric.
I made a slipcover for the top and sides.
To finish I attached hinges and lid supports.
For many more photos and a more detailed description of each step please check out my blog post.

Nicely done. I'm wondering if you think it's too heavy for casters? They are so expensive but I like to be able to easily move my ottoman. I love that you used recycled materials. Hey from Lima!
