Painted glass bottles & vases

Easy
Left over paint and vases from the dollar store was all I need for this project. The vases were painted on the inside with leftover Martha Stewart paint and the bottles on the outside with Annie Sloan chalk paint. I loved the outcome and will be doing this project again very soon.

I did my bottles with 2 coats on outside only-and rubbed chalk all over. Then I sanded lightly to distress and sealed with leftover clear spray gloss. I did not do the inside though as some people liked to add water for flowers. On some; I sprinkled very fine sparkle dust just after the second coat of paint. Then sealed with spray gloss. Different!

Margaret, would you think I'm crazy if I like the ones with first coat on the best? I like them enough to try to make some using chalk paint. I guess the thing about painting the inside of vases is they should be really clear glass. I tried that with a beautiful jar once, white paint, and I guess the glass had a slight tint to it. Looked awful but I wasn't throwing my jar away and washed all the paint out.
