Tomatoes and Sweet Peppers transplanted

I have never grown tomatoes from seed, I have always gotten plants. Last year I received a packet of tomatoe seed and a packet of sweet bell pepper seeds as a bonus from a seed company, so I thought that I would plant them and see how they did.
Sweet Bell peppers before transplanting. Healthy and string
Pepppers after transplanting (not a good picture they are on the grow shelf)
Tomatoes transplanted. This picture makes them look sickly - but I think that they are still ina bit of shocked state from the transplant.

When transplanting your tomatoes, plant them up to their ears as we say! When I transplant my tomatoe seedlings, I place the entire stem (up to the second set of leaves), into the planting medium. This creates a MUCH stronger stem that can withstand wind etc. They also don't lay down like those in the picture.

I do that way Tracy. Does make them stronger. But for some reason my peppers don`t seem to be growing much this year. Always had good luck other years with plenty to freeze.. Crazy weather.
