Kitchen Remodel

We had the kitchen from the 40s with basically no updating in our circa 1940 ranch home. By taking out a wall and concentrating on light, bright finishes, we created a workable space and made the most of the space we have. I live in my kitchen and I'm so happy with the outcome!
How it looked before. Cute and completely non-functional.
Looking toward the end wall.
Stove in orig. kitchen was on this side. I flipped the cooking to the other side, between the windows.
Fridge is where stove used to be.
Finished. Travertine marble floor, and travertine and glass backsplash. Counters are cararra marble.
The finished kitchen. The wall removal required the builder to put in a header. I wanted a rustic look and he built a great looking wooden beam.
Looking toward the den, you can see the neat weathered looking beam. There are two steps down to the den.
