Farmhouse Kitchen Makeover

Our kitchen was dated and not our style! One week when my husband was out of town for work, I painted our kitchen cabinets with Old White Chalk Paint! He came home and was so amazed, we updated the rest of the kitchen! Check out the reveal.
The room looks larger and much brighter. We are so happy with this transformation!
Painting the cabinets was the most work, but most rewarding as well. Lights were changed out. Recessed lighting was added along with two pendants above the island.
We thought about replacing the floors but decided to wait till it was completed and see if we still liked them. We ended up keeping the floors!
The sink and counters were removed. Ready for new granite!

New sink and faucets!

New subway title.

Be sure to head over to the blog for more pictures of the kitchen and our home! This is the kitchen decked out for Christmas. We use this space so much, we are happy we decided to update it. www.shabbygraceblog.com

What a transformation! Love the light, fresh look. Can you give more detail about the painting of your cabinets? Did you do the work yourself? What paint did you use? Any special technique to prevent chipping?
