How to Buy It Old, Make It New, Then Make It Old Again!

I seen so many beautiful ideas using these old iron sewing machine bases, so my husband & I went picking at the local peddlers market! We found this beauty for only $30.00 dollars! We took it completely apart & re-stored her to her former glory!
She had some beautiful drawers that looked like they were hand craved, we cleaned them up & started her makeover!
My husband made a brand new top with cedar planks, 1x4's, rounded the corners with the new bandsaw I got him for Christmas," I knew it would come in handy!
He then sanded & painted the top white, we used chalk paint for just the top. Then lightly dry brushed the top with pink. Then just a little distressing was done.
The drawers were also painted pink & the cravings were outlined in white to make them pop!
The base of the old girl was spray painted with pastel pink & the rollers on the feet were painted black.
Once everything had been cleaned, painted & a new top made, she was ready for her closeup!
Beautiful new top!
I love all the details in this piece, it's so much fun to make old new again!
She's a real beauty now & ready for a special little girl!
