Diane Slater on Jan 19, 2014yes, I agree. I had a burst bathroom pipe from the first floor, ruining our newly remodeled basement. Ruined the bathroom floor, the stairwell, only because the back wall of the bathroom was the stairwell wall. We had several inches of water in the basement and ofcourse the floor in the bathroom. But, our drywall was cut from about a foot and half up the wall, the studs were cut, new pieces screwed to the cut pieces. We had Pergo flooring, but after the flood had ceramic tiles installed. 1600sq.ft. Our cost was $35,000. You get the idea..........so I doubt if it was insurance paid, they didn't foot the whole bill. LOL, if they did I want to buy insurance from that company.
