It's a new year, a new me right? While I'm not so sure about that one, but I knew with the new year it was definitely a great time to my space. I needed space to store small appliances and the basic overflow from the kitchen. My kitchen doesn't really have a pantry so I set out to make one. Using the perfect plans I provided by a fellow blogger I made this smaller mobile pantry. I added vibrant colors, well...because I'm a vibrant person ;) Hahaha I hope you like it.
I cut the plywood to size to build the cabinet base.
Prior to attaching the shelves I marked the locations of the shelves.
It was time to attach the shelves.
Once the base was done I attached casters. Being able to move this cabinet is essential in small spaces. It provides a lot of flexibility.
I made the shaker style door using simple pocket screws and 1x3s and 1/2in. plywood.
Once all the pieces were complete it was time to add personality to the cabinet. I wanted something bright and vibrant every time I opened the cabinet door.
I also added wire shelving inside the door for additional storage.
The handle I made for under $2 using 1/2in bell hangers and 5/8" wooden dowel. It's my favorite style of inexpensive drawer pulls.
inexpensive crates and wire baskets make this cabinet work. I think later on I'll add wire insert drawers for easy access to bottles and cans.
