Thrift Store Basket Transformed With Sisal Rope

I received this basket in a Secret Santa/ Thrift Store challenge amongst blogger friends. The object of the challenge was to give each other a thrift store find which was $5 and under and blog about how transformed it.
I decided to wrap the basket in sisal rope and create one of the trendy baskets that I have all over my house. I started by spray painting the inside white so that it wasn't the green color.
Then using sisal rope and a hot glue gun, I wrapped the entire basket in rope glueing small sections to the basket and the row below it.
I found that squeezing each section as you went kept it tight and without any gaps between rows.
Cut off the end and tuck it under and glue.
Using the hot glue gun, I glued on a chalkboard tag to the front.

Wow, that's pretty cool and fairly simple to do as well.

I wouldn't cover that farm basket with anything. It's different, and there kind of hard to come buy. You can use any cheap dollar store container to wrap sisal around.
