Anticipating Some Blooms in my Spring Garden

It seems spring has been a little cranky this year and she just doesn't want to appear. But the sun was (and I say WAS) shining brightly this morning, so I took a walk anticipating some blooms in my garden.
The star magnolia is shedding the furry coverings on it's flower buds.
Much loved flowering quince is bursting with anticipation of it's pink/coral blooms
After only one year, we have some pencil sized asparagus. Can't wait to harvest these?
A new lilac transplanted last year is showing off it's buds - don't know if it's white or pink
Excited to see how this dawn redwood fills a vacant spot in the garden. The dawn redwood is one of those "evergreens" that sheds its leaves in the winter.
A healthy bleeding heart plant seems to grow before our eyes.
Even as a new leaf emerges, the water droplets gather in this alchemillia (lady's mantle) - a gorgeous plant for it's leaf interest and chartreuse foamy flowers.
