Create Your Own Valentine's Display With Vintage and Thrifty Finds

Okay, so this heart-shaped wicker basket is really not my speed when it comes to decorating. But I picked it up from the thrift store anyway because I had an awesome repurposing idea in mind!
First off, the geraniums had to go. And then the basket needed some paint.
Pink. Perfect for Valentine's Day. Now what? Well, with just a few more thrifty additions this heart became the centerpiece for an awesome Valentine's Day vignette.
Love? Check. Red arrows? Check. Things were starting to look pretty good!
I'm thrilled that I was able to modernize the look a bit, while at the same time use the basket along with my vintage-inspired shuttered cabinet and DIY Valentine's banner.
