Feeling a little melancholy watching trees come down

Workers are here taking down some trees in my yard. I feel a lump in my throat as I watch them come down. :-( Most of these trees are Bradford Pears leaning dangerously but a couple are hardwood. (of course they need to go to for one reason or another) One triple trunk oak in my front yard. It was the first to go. It is amazing how they take these trees down without harming the vegetation around it. I will add more pics as the day goes on.
DURING: Here they are dragging the last of a triple trunk oak to the chipper. Wish I had started taking pics when they began. Guess I was just so busy watching, I didn't think about it.
DURING: I can already see more sun shining on my japanese maples and my camelia and azalea below.
BEFORE: These Bradford Pears are next.
AFTER: It's going to take some getting used to. Can't say I "love it". :-(

Only had one tree, Bradford pear, made such a mess on the driveway. Now I have a gorgeous weeping yaupon holly in it's place

You have such a beautiful front door...and the after shot is far more inviting from the street.
