Cane Back Chair Makeover (for the second time)
I got these great chairs at a yard sale over the summer. They were yellow with horrible teal velvet on the seats. After removing 8 million staples, the teal cam off to reveal an even more terrible yellow velvet. I recovered the cushions with new fabric. I then spray painted the chairs high gloss black. After 5 coats of paint parts of the chair were shiny and parts were still flat. After another 5 coats I gave up. I painted over them with ivory chalkpaint and distressed them so the black showed through.
