Yellow Longhorn Dresser - Before & After

Junk Love Boutique
by Junk Love Boutique
Hey guys, Nicole here from Junk Love Boutique. I found this solid white chest of drawers at an antique mall a few weeks back. I bought it because i needed the pulls that were currently on it for a client project I was working on, otherwise I probably wouldn't have given it a second look. After taking the pulls off it sat in my garage for...awhile! I was having a hard time coming up with something to give this sad piece some life again.
As I was digging through my messy pull drawer looking for something I had misplaced, I grabbed these longhorn pulls I just had to have during a recent trip to Hobby Lobby. They were PERFECT and I have been dying to use them.
So I stripped most of the dresser because it had previously been painted with spray paint and apparently was not cleaned well first because most of the paint seemed to be chipping off and there were runs everywhere. The I filled the old hardware holes with Bondo and sanded the whole thing down and painted this adorable shade of yellow.
After about 4 coats of yellow paint, I decided it needed a little more pzazz so i grabbed a stencil I had and added a little "southwest" vibe in white.
Here is an up close of that. Then I distressed and sealed.
...and Ta-DA! The final product! To see more fun makeovers and furniture for sale, visit www.facebook.com/junkloveboutique.
