Your Ideal Brick Cleaner

Wet & Forget
by Wet & Forget
Brick is a gorgeous, long-lasting material that adds value to your home. Whether your home itself is built of brick, or you have a brickwork patio, walkway or retaining wall, bricks can’t be beat for their beauty and durability. But if your brickwork is covered in moss, lichen, algae, mold or mildew, it’s not so beautiful anymore. And the problem isn’t only cosmetic: some growths can actually scar your bricks. While cleaning methods like bleach or a pressure washer are harsh and don’t last as long, Wet & Forget Outdoor‘s gentle action will free your bricks of ugly growths and keep them clean for a year or more in most cases. Read on to learn about taking good care of your brickwork with Wet & Forget!
For all bricks:

Wet & Forget works on any color of brick, including red bricks. Check out the photo above to see the awesome results one homeowner got using Wet & Forget Outdoor to remove algae from his red brick patio. Thanks for the photo! Wet & Forget Outdoor is ideal for painted bricks, too.

For algae, mold or mildew:

In a pump-up garden sprayer, mix 1 part Wet & Forget with 5 parts water. Thoroughly saturate the affected area at a time when the bricks will have 4 to 5 hours to dry before the chance of rain. Then relax, and let Wet & Forget do the work for you.
For moss:

Mix 1 part Wet & Forget with 5 parts water in a pump-up garden sprayer. Spray the moss with Wet & Forget, allowing 4 to 5 hours to dry before the chance of rain. Be sure to soak the moss thoroughly, so the solution penetrates all the way through the moss.

For lichen:

Mix a solution of 1 part Wet & Forget and 5 parts water in a pump-up garden sprayer. Saturate the lichen with the solution, allowing 4 to 5 hours to dry before the chance of rain. Wait 15 minutes, and then saturate the lichen a second time. This second application allows Wet & Forget to penetrate the lichen’s multiple layers. It is best to treat lichen on a day that is not too hot and sunny, to avoid rapid evaporation and allow Wet & Forget the maximum time to penetrate the lichen.
