Remove Moss Easy as Pie

Wet & Forget
by Wet & Forget
Moss is an important part of the ecosystem, but it can cause a real mess when it invades the surfaces around your home. Moss can cause pitting and warping on your wooden deck, worsen cracks in your bricks or driveway, and even cause shingle damage that can leave your home vulnerable to costly water leaks. Stop moss in its tracks with Wet & Forget Outdoor, and keep your home safe and beautiful! Read on to see 4 prime zones where Wet & Forget Outdoor defeats moss.
1. Remove Moss from Bricks with No Scrubbing
Bricks are beautiful and durable choices for building garden walls, planters, walkways, and even your home. If moss gains a foothold on your bricks, though, it can transform your investment in your home into an ugly mess.

If left untreated, moss can spread out enough to cover the entire surface of your bricks, leaving them a fuzzy green disaster. Moss’s root-like structures can also dig into the surface of your bricks and mortar, exacerbating any tiny cracks and encouraging crumbling. Don’t let this happen to your beautiful bricks!

If you remove moss from bricks with caustic bleach, you could bleach your clothes and kill your lawn in the process. Pressure washing your bricks is a hassle, and one wrong move can cause damage to your home’s siding or downspouts. Worse yet, neither of these methods will do anything to prevent re-growth, so the moss can start growing again almost from the moment you finish the job. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself in a vicious cycle of cleaning and re-cleaning.

Choose Wet & Forget Outdoor, and break out of the cycle! Wet & Forget kills moss on bricks with no scrubbing, pressure washing or caustic chemicals needed. Bette yet: Wet & Forget Outdoor works with the wind and rain to keep moss from coming back for a year or more in most cases. Stop cleaning your bricks over and over–you have better things to do!
2. Defeat Moss on Your Driveway
Whether it’s made of concrete, asphalt or pavers, your driveway can fall victim to moss. Moss can grow in the spaces between pavers or on the pavers’ surface, and it thrives on asphalt and concrete. Moss’s root-like structures can cause ugly, permanent pitting on some types of driveway, and moss loves to grow in any tiny cracks it can find in your driveway’s surface. As it grows, moss widens cracks and can cause asphalt, concrete and pavers to crack and crumble. You already put the work in to maintain your driveway; don’t let moss ruin it for you!

You don’t need to turn to caustic chemicals such as bleach, or make a muddy mess with a pressure washer to defeat moss on your driveway. Wet & Forget Outdoor works with the wind and rain to remove moss from pavers, concrete and asphalt, and keep it away for a year or more in most cases.

Tom in Washington state was so happy with how Wet & Forget Outdoor zapped the moss around his driveway pavers, he wrote to us on our Facebook page to tell us about it:

“I can visibly see the difference in my pavers from last year. I was scraping moss from between them last spring and the year before, I hired someone to clean the moss from them. This year, no green moss at all where the pavers are shadowed by shrubs and no tedious scraping for me around each paver with scissor blades! I made only two applications of Wet and Forget, one in late Spring and one in early Fall. I don’t own a power washer.”

3. Protect Your Roof from Damaging Moss Growth

Your roof is your home’s first line of defense against the elements. Moss on your roof is not only an eyesore; left untreated, it can cause damage to your roof that can lead to water leaks that can lay waste to your budget and even threaten your family’s health. Moss damages your roof by growing between and underneath the shingles and causing them to separate from the roof, letting water in. Moss’s root-like structures can also cause pitting on many types of shingles, and cause asphalt shingles to lose their protective granules.

If you use a caustic chemical such as bleach to kill moss on your roof, the runoff can corrode your home’s downspouts and kill your lawn. If you use a pressure washer, one wrong move can tear off shingles and damage your home’s rain gutters. Wet & Forget Outdoor kills moss on your roof without damaging your shingles, gutters, downspouts or lawn, and keeps it from coming back for a year or more in most cases. The choice is clear!

4. Keep Your Deck Moss-Free with No Elbow Grease Needed

Your deck is the perfect place to enjoy your summer, but moss can ruin your deck’s appearance and even cause damage. Moss can cause wood to warp or crack, cause pitting on paint or varnish, and leave your deck a disgusting mess.

Wet & Forget Outdoor defeats moss on your deck, and keeps it from coming back for a year or more in most cases. Wet & Forget Outdoor is safe for all types of decking, from wood, to metal, or even composite decks. Wet & Forget Outdoor will also keep your deck free of lichen, algae, mold and mildew. Let Wet & Forget Outdoor help you keep your deck ship-shape for years to come!

Does Wet and Forget work on Trex decking? My decking looks dirty and darker than it was 11 yrs ago. I love this post by the way as I need this on Brick pavers in my back yard too. I can't wait to get going on it. Thank you.
