Here is a photo of one of my previous homes, the subject is the chandelier. It is a true antique that I was given.

The glass globe was missing and they were $800 at Lakewood, right..not gonna happen, not this girl. Anyway, I found a 1950 reproduction with harvest gold and green wheat and flowers painted on it. I had an artist friend paint my color and flower choices on it and "Wa La" I still love it today.
Yes I am aware of "Trends" I teach them in my classes, but I enjoy collecting antiques and have my own comfortable "Traditional" Style.
Unfortunately my chandelier is packed now until my new home has a spot for it.

  • could originally had a cranberry shade so $2K+ wouldn't have been out of line for an original - not unusual for the oil lamps to have electrified but those parts to restore are readily available & not comparatively expensive

I LOVE your home. I want to post pics of my living room but fear people may be too critical as I can't change my walls and have lots of decor. Haha. But I really enjoy the pics of your living area
