Stacked Easter Bunny Boxes

Isn't this the cutest alternative to a traditional Easter basket? Stacked paper mache boxes decorated as a bunny! How cool is this!
You can usually find these online for a pretty price but why buy when you can easily make your own? Take three graduated paper mache boxes found at any craft store and paint them white.
While the paint is drying, make paper patterns of bunny ears, paws, (hands and feet), toes and cut out in fleece and felt. Use different size pom poms for the cheeks, nose and tail.
Hand baste the ears, turn right side out and insert wire stems into each ear. Glue on pink felt cutouts for the inner ears. Stitch the hands and feet the same way, leaving space to turn inside out. Insert a bit of poly fiber to plump and stitch to close. And finally, glue on pink felt circles (toes and pads) to the feet. Cut out a "overall bib" from a easter print and mod podge to center box.
Assemble and glue on bunny parts to boxes, from top to bottom, starting at the top with the ears, etc. adding google eyes and wire stem whiskers. Make sure when gluing on the parts that they not interfere with the tops opening and closing.
Have fun filling the boxes with easter goodies and treats!
