The Finishing Touch-A Sliding Barn Door for the Laundry Room

We recently helped our friend redo the laundry room in her 100+ year old house. We added the finishing touch today with the installation of a new sliding barn door.
Here is what it looked like prior to the redo. The old door swung into the room, using up valuable space.
My husband built her a custom door that looks like the original doors in her house.
He left the top open so we could add glass. We ended up getting seeded glass that adds some privacy, but also looks old.
We added the barn door hardware.
We used my new vinyl cutter to add the words.
And it's done! I think it looks so good!
This was the 'before' picture of the inside.
And the 'after'!

Hi there! What a great project!! Would you/your husband be willing to share instructions on how the door was made? Pictures of all sides or how he put the pieces together? Thanks!!!

Can you do this if the has to be inside the laundry room. Door swing in but no wall on outside. Can you the original door be used with some modifications.

I am pirating your idea for a small bathroom! In my case the door opens and then blocks access to the sink. The door needs to be closed just to wash your hands, or turn on the light. Problem solved by your inspiration

    Hello,

Would you by chance have or could you make a set of plans for this? I would be happy to discuss through email or messenger. If there would be a cost for this please let me know as well. This is great and my wife has decided I need to make this instead of the traditional barn door I was planning to make lol.

    Thank You

    Al
